So the idea of this project was simple: it just revolved around me asking people if they were happy or if they were sad. I felt like starting it based on my own desire of taking a slightly deeper dive into someone's life when conversing with them . Rather than the usual small talk ("Oh heeyy, what have you been up to?" "Oh you know, just working!"), I think we should get into the practice of asking meaningful things to get on a more personal level. Nothing invasive, just something to give you a better glimpse into someone's life.
We live in this insane digital age and too often we assume things through social media. It's kind of created a divide amongst the people living their "best lives" and the ones who allegedly aren't. And really, this landscape has caused much more stress and anxiety on society than we're ready to admit. But you and I know that's the furthest from the truth. We know that we're all experiencing the same things. And that's kind of what I'm hoping to show everyone with this project.
Another thing is that I hope that this helps people really look at where they're at in this moment and to see if they like it there. And I hope they read other people's answers and maybe say "I feel like that too". Because overall, we're all in this together, trying to find our piece of contentment. I really do hope you're happy. And obviously it's also OK to be sad. And if you are, I hope this helps you work through it in some way.
